It's impossible to keep up with health trends. 

Experimental diets, exercise regimes, and all the gear that comes with it results in big a dark cloud of not feeling like you have enough time or money to become this health-filled enlightened being.

So, today I’m gonna start with some myth-busting.

It's a terrifyingly real fact: a healthy lifestyle is not expensive... and you don’t have to drop major coin to reap the benefits

Let's take some quick, actionable steps to invest in yourself. With an ROI that you won’t be able to get enough of — happiness and energy.

1. Invest The Great Outdoors

You need to go outside more—we all do!

It's time to exchange the unused gym membership for fresh air.

No, travelling from the house to the car does not count.

But exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous or laborious — I’m on a solo power girl mission to banish this idea.

By all means, start small.

Taking five minutes to go outside is time you would spend looking at your phone — embrace it!

2. Eat More Vegetables

Eyes rolling already? 

Vegetables are cool!

So is vegetarianism—it’s super in fashion these days.

Being vegetarian is not expensive as long as you stick to wholefoods.

That's vegetables and grains — not processed foods. 

Finding wholesome, vegetarian alternatives to your favourite dishes is a cost price that you can afford.

Take a Tech Break

Okay... you can still work online (— I do!)

I’m talking about ditching the most toxic device we have in our 21st century lives… a mobile phone.

This is one of my favourite things to do!

I was originally prompted to do a tech break when my phone broke.

Instead of running to the repair shop, I held off for a week or so. It’s possibly the best thing I’ve done.

Not having a phone reduces anxiety significantly. It gives you a little headspace, and find time for things like reading a book. 

You can start right now by leaving your phone somewhere out of your immediate reach 😉

4. Change Something About Your Mornings

What do you do in the morning? I want to know, like in detail. Seriously, I’m obsessed.

How you start your mornings dictates your attitude towards the whole day.

So, if you roll over and stare at your phone, chances are you're going to be distracted. 

Taking time to drink water and waking up free from distraction helps improve your focus for the rest of your day.

5. Drink Water

Drink water — it’s free! 

And it serves you healthy skin, hair, lots of energy, great digestion, and detoxins on a plate like nothing else!

If you’re not into the habit of drinking water just yet, start by aiming for a small amount, like 500ml a day.

But start it right now — not tomorrow, not next week... now.

When you try, you’re trying and that’s such a huge step already.

6. Constructive Goal Setting

Have you been putting off your new business in fear that it’ll flop? Or learning a new language because of its difficult? You’re not alone. 

Go get yourself a pen and paper.

Write down three things down that you want to achieve in the next 6 months.

Then write the first step that you'll take to do it.

By writing it down, you’re onto the next stage — taking action.

By getting out of your comfort zone, you're challenging yourself. Only growth can come from that.
